I was just reserving my hotel and was wondering if they also asked you for the number of your credit card?

Yes, everyone has to provide the Credit Card number.

This is common on such Hotels and is no reason to be worryed about.
So if you could, for any reason, not attend the meeting, make sure to cancle your Room Reservationl, otherwise they will charge your Card and this is the Reason why they want your Card Number, to prevent peoples from making reservations, but not showing up on the full disadvantage of the Hotel.
Under the Hotel "Therms and Conditions" you will find the conditions when cancling any Reservation like, up to 40 Days prior your Reservation there will be no charge for you / 39 - 30 Days prior your Reservation 30% charge and so on.

I booked my flight and hotel. IS there anything else I need to do?

you only need some Transportation for friday as we drive from the Hotel to the Factory in Dingolfing, this would be to complicated by Train
On Saturday I even recommand to take the Train from the Hotel into the City for the BMW Museum visit as all the Cars entering the City of Munich, need a special "Polution Sticker".......

Maybe you can share a Rental car with others coming to Munich by plane
